Who we are…
Aloha à la Mode is an art studio by a Kauaʻi-based duo who met surfing as keiki. We specialize in surface art design, and pareu will always be our favorite canvas. Growing up on the beaches of Hawaiʻi, the pareu became an everyday essential—easy, breezy, and simple, just like island life.
Our pareu are intentionally oversized, and made from breathable fabrics for effortless wear. Many of our most loved designs will also be adapted into made-to-order art prints, with plans for Hawaiʻi-based production. Those same designs are carried into a growing collection of lifestyle goods, from beach to home.
Collaboration is at the heart of our brand. We work with organizations, nonprofits, and local businesses to bring their aesthetic to life through thoughtfully designed merchandise.
Our debut was a labor of love—a mini pareu collection, festival tees, trucker hats, and stickers created for the inaugural Koʻolau Limu Festival in Anahola, Kauaʻi, in 2024. The Kai ʻO Anahola pareu artwork, inspired by the sea life of Anahola Bay, will remain in stock as the design that started it all.
The festival celebrated the traditional limu pickers of Anahola Village and the next generation of emerging limu stewards. We were grateful to be part of the creative process, translating the story of Anahola—its limu, place, and living traditions—through collaboration with the Hosea Lovell Foundation.
